PILOTING FACILITIES

Both the side console and the center console have adequate room for gauges and accessories. Both will accept any kind of steering system.

 

CONFIGURATION

The large front deck has a removable pedestal fishing seat. The two console options are:

a)      Side console on the starboard side of the boat. The driver and passenger fiberglass chairs swivel through 360 degrees.

b)     The Centre Console incorporates a front upholstered bench seat that will accommodate two people. The storage space under this seat can be converted into an ice box. The driver seat is also an upholstered bench seat that can be used for storage or converted into a livewell.

The rear of the boat is open but a small back deck can be fitted or extra swivel seats can be fitted. 

There are two tank tray holders, a battery box and a bilge pump sump fitted. 

The standard transom is for a long shaft motor (20”).  

CONSTRUCTION

Manufactured using isothalic polyester resins, chopped strand mat, woven roving mat, core mat, marine gel coats, together with wood. The top and bottom are bonded together internally and externally. Decks are bonded after the joining process. SABS approved foams are used for under deck buoyancy.

Plywood stringers are encapsulated in fibreglass.

All colours and customising is in the gel and a choice of four colours is offered as standard.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

      Recommended that 30 H P to 60 H P motor be used.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

      All safety accessories such as life jackets are optional extras.

OUTSTANDING FEATURES

The E T Dory 160 has a cathedral hull and therefore the draft is very shallow. The large flat floor and the flat bottom of the boat makes it ideal for fishing as it is very stable.
