The Zambezi spans hundreds of kilometres and travels through many countries in Africa. The part of the Zambezi that i am going to talk about touring today is from Victoria Falls to Kariba wall on the Zimbabwean side.
Victoria falls to Kariba |
We have an amazing tour operator in Zimbabwe called Kangamani Tours. They specialise in low cost tours on Kariba and affordable tours on the Zambezi. We will back them all the way as they have designed a 'house raft' that Turbo Glass built for them.

Jon, the owner of Kangamani Tours has been involved in the tourism sector for many years now and has an acute knowledge the River and what it has to offer you. Whether you want to go fishing in Kariba or just relax and enjoy the sightseeing on the Zambezi, Jon and Kangamani Tours are the ones for you!!
Oscar
What a spectacular raft. It has been designed to run tours of Lake Kariba but with a difference! The raft does not have old style cabins nor is it a single hulled vessel. Without the cabins on the house raft, this opens up so much more space and offers a fantastic vantage point for game viewing on Kariba or sightseeing on the Zambezi. Instead, the beds are open and laid out in a straight line either side of the spacious deck, both upstairs and down. Don't panic though, the raft is fully equipt with hot showers, secure toilets, kitchen, bar and electricity so the modern world is still in the palm of your hand! This all makes for a very budget friendly trip no matter what you would like to do. The trips can last from three days and run for longer, it's up to you and Jon will help you as best he can with deciding what options you take.
The upper deck, spacious and relaxing |
Because the house raft is so much lighter than your run of the mill boats, it is much more nimble and so can reach higher speeds and get you places the heavier more cumbersome boats can. So, if you want to go to certain places on the river or lake it is much more fees-able and achievable with Kangamani tours.
