Boats in Zimbabwe

Boats are the nearest things to dreams that hands have ever made...

I am going to talk a little bit about boats for sale in Zimbabwe, and with obvious reasons, Turbo Glass. We started manufacturing fiber glass boats in Zimbabwe in the early 80's (1984) to be exact. We started with a hull called the Piranha and have never looked back.

This is our flagship boat and in the last twenty years or so we have sold over 3000. Not bad for a company which has 30 staff members...





We use the usual ingredients to produce very high quality boats in Zimbabwe. These being, fibreglass matting, resins, moulds, laminate, gel coats amongst others. Now, because Zimbabwe is predominantly hot, the temperatures help to bond the fibreglass and resins much quicker and easier. Fibreglass needs a temperature of between 20 and 35 degrees in order for the laminate to bond properly. We definitely have this!

Since the Piranha 160 in the early 80's we have come on in leaps and bounds with both products and technology. Resins, glass matt and laminates have started to be produced to a much higher quality and we are never compromising with said quality. We always revert to the old saying ''you buy cheap, you buy twice!'' We make sure this is never the case and by using only the best materials we manufacture the best boats.


We now have over thirty boats that we build and these range from a 9 foot Dory used on small dams and as tender boats all the way to a 60 foot pontoon that is used on the Victoria Falls for sundown cruises and tours. The boats for sale in Zimbabwe are all safety checked and have been approved by the lake captain at Kariba for their safety aspects.
