In the last post i mentioned a few rules, in this one i shall mention a few funny mishaps we have had along the way. Either on route to the river, on the river or even in a lodge by the lake!

We have had broken down cars whilst on route, border problems (when we took the trip to Namibia because of petrol problems) motor problems and other interesting dilemmas!
Turbo Glass have always maintained that safety MUST come first on the trip, this has never been abused. We have not lost someone overboard (unless they wanted to freshen up) and have not sustained and major injuries (on the water) we have had some terrible incidents whilst on the trip but these are more 'freak accidents' than anything else.
We have had brave, mighty men walk through a herd of 200 strong buffalo to get to their personal watering holes, men in their 16 foot piranha fiberglass boats going out in terrible water to help a stricken ferry on Lake Kariba and even towing broken down boats for hours on end through the darkness of night to safe shores.
