BAZOOKA 180 |
PASSENGER CARRYING CAPACITY 9 (subject to Lake Capt.
confirmation)
PILOTING FACILITIES
RAILING
The deck is
surrounded by aluminium rails, the top of which is 400 mm high around the back
half of the deck. These rails can be manufactured lower in the front. A
fiberglass panel bonded to the deck makes it difficult to kick anything
overboard. The side paneling can be customised to match any customising on the
hulls.
CONSTRUCTION
The two hulls are constructed entirely out of fiberglass and wood. The
resins used are isothalic (stronger and better water resistance). Each hull has
eight watertight compartments. Three watertight compartments run the length of
the hull under an fiberglass floor. Above this floor are waterproof transverse
bulkheads numbering five per hull. Forming the parameter of each bulkhead is an
aluminium frame that is part of the superstructure. The superstructure is made
entirely of aluminium with the entire frame welded together. The deck is made
of a snap together aluminium section covered with durable marine grade
carpeting or laminates of fibreglass. A fixed aluminium / fiberglass roof or a
fold-down aluminium & canvas canopy are both optional extras. The Bazooka 180 can be made for single or
for twin motor installations.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
For low speed operations a
twenty-five horsepower motor is adequate. If planing speeds are required then a
single sixty to eighty is recommended. If twin motors are wanted then twin
fifties are ideal.
