Safari camps on Lake Kariba

On the 25th May Turbo Glass embarked on their annual 'Turbo Charge.' What an epic adventure we had!

I wanted to talk to you all more about a lodge we stayed at called Gache Gache.

Coming to the Lodge by lake

Run by Ray and Pat Townsend and staffed by some exemplary young men and women, this is a camp you don't want to miss out on. What we found absolutely amazing about this particular lodge is the fact they have been able to turn the area into a conservation, poaching free part of Lake Kariba. the work being done on a day to day basis to bring back Zimbabwe's wild birds, game and fish has definitely put a lump in our throats...

Beautiful sunsets

They run WEPU (Wildlife Environment Protection Unit) purely through donations and it has been incredible to see the support they get to do such an arduous task. Do have a read of their conservation page and see for yourself how they are slowly giving the wildlife of Africa a fighting chance...

The accommodation was fantastic, the food very hearty and the service was nothing less than epic!!

Turbo Glass would like to thank you all at Gache Gache for an incredible two days at what can only be one of the best lodges on Lake Kariba!!
